Save Early, Save Often…
The Federal Ballpark E$timate calculator was designed to help federal employees determine how much they need to save for retirement by taking into account their projected federal annuities and Thrift Savings Plan benefits. The service is provided by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and is a free service to all Federal employees. Two Savings Plans with Different Benefits…
Federal employees can contribute to either the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), depending on when they were hired. Each plan has its advantages and its important to understand them when planning for your future. Get the Most from Your Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
Regardless of which retirement system you participate in, CSRS or FERS, you can also sign up and participate in the Thrift Savings Plan. Saving more can only help and this service provides another unique service available to Federal employees.
